MY Bharat Portal launched today

‘Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat)’ platform for youth of the country was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on National Unity Day, i.e., on October 31st 2023 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi.

Today the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports launched the official portal to this MY Bharat Platform and has reached a milestone with over 1.45 crore registrations. The user interface is user-friendly and makes registration quick. The portal mobilizes youth towards positive endeavors.

MY Bharat offers Volunteering and Experiential Learning Opportunities

MY Bharat has rapidly emerged as a pivotal tool for youth development, offering a diverse array of opportunities, events, and volunteering activities with Police, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and various Ministries. On National Youth Day, 12th January 2024, over 1 lakh volunteers worked with traffic police pan-India to assist in greater road safety for commuters and better traffic management.

Talking about the success of MY Bharat, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, talking to NCC and NSS Volunteers on 27th January 2024, emphasized the overwhelming response to the MY Bharat portal within such a short span of time. He stated that this platform is the largest and most influential one for the twenty-first-century youth of Bharat, as evidenced by its swift and life-changing outreach.

This program is open to undergraduate students in their second and third years, studying at UGC-recognized colleges and institutions. Additionally, individuals under the age of 29 who are not currently students/non-students can also register. 

Non-students seeking to register for this program must meet specific eligibility criteria. This entails having a matriculation certificate and successfully completing the Aadhaar KYC process. During the registration process, individuals in this category are required to upload their matriculation certificate. 

There is no restriction of age/gender. 

No. Students have to bear the cost of traveling from their residence to the business establishment. 

The student may first register on the portal (mybharat.gov.in) where options are available on the portal dashboard to select the business. The field of interest can be seen by clicking on the business opportunity. 

The experiential learning program would be available irrespective of any academic credit given by the college. However, colleges can give academic credits to the youth on the basis of available UGC norms. 

The NSS program officer/nodal officer of your college will be the verifier. 

As of now the program is specifically for UG students. 

After completion of the training program, the student will write a brief report and submit it to the college. He/she will also submit feedback on the portal about his/her Experiential learning. 

The profiles of students who have applied for the program in response to the opportunities posted by the business will be visible to them. The business will select the students based on their preference.

Yes, Students will be provided a certificate through the portal after their successful and satisfactory completion of the Program.
